Last Chauffeurs’ CD, Partons Allons, have been finalist 2009 at Quebec most prestigious music award in the category “Traditional album of the year”.

Louis-Simon Lemieux is back with the pack

After 3 years of solo career (with an album called Philomène), fiddler, harmonicist, feet tapper, guitarist and singer Louis-Simon Lemieux joined again Les Chauffeurs. We’re now back at 4 members! Great music with plenty of swing to come. New stuff ready for summer 2010.

Les Chauffeurs received a financial support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec to do some research and some creation. New material to come.

Our fiddler and signer is now the new head of the Conseil québécois du patrimoine vivant. The Counsil is the national representative for traditional arts and crafts. Check out the website www.patrimoinevivant.qc.ca
